Developed by From Software, the creator of the souls game, it has presented players to explore the open world and taste defeat from its unforgiving enemies. Rise Tarnished and free the world for its rot. Claim the Lord of Elden Ring by defeating Shardbearer on your journey.
Just like any other souls game, Elden ring is brutal to its core. But it doesn’t have to be when you are equipped with the right gears, wield proper weapons according to your build and wear the right talisman for maximum damage control.
There are a lot of RPG elements that I, too, got confused about and had to look up for crafting items. Nevertheless, we are here to talk about Talismans, how to acquire them and how to expand talismans sloth.
What Are Talismans?
Talismans are wearable items that grant their wearers special powers and abilities. Some talismans grant elements and negate magic damage, while others provide players with health points and stamina by killing enemies. Nevertheless, every talisman has some great advantages in different aspects for players.
Best Talisman in Elden Ring
Kindred of Rot’s Exultation
Poisoning or rot in the vicinity increases attack power, as stated in the Item Effect description. This talisman increases your attack power up to twenty percent for twenty seconds if there is poison or rot dispelled upon you or around your area. You can cast rot or poison effect on your weapons and get a twenty percent buff automatically.
This is one great talisman for increasing attack power. Enter the Seethewater Cave at the foot of mount Gelmir located in the north of Liurnia and west of Altus Plateau. Jump down cautiously and get to the boss’s location, which, upon death, will give you the talisman.
Gold Scarab
This talisman Can help you a lot if you are collecting tons of ruins to level up. Gold Scarab increases runes obtained from defeating enemies by twenty percent. And by consuming Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot that increases ruin gain by thirty percent, you have the Ultimate item to farm runes.
Gold Scarab can be found in the Abandoned cave located in the Caelid region. Head down the cave and enter the boss fog gate. Upon defeating the boss, you will obtain the Gold Scarab talisman.
Moon of Nokstella
Those who are doing magic build and collect powerful incantations. This talisman will help you by increasing your memory slots by two. You can have six spell slots in the game, but you can increase the slots up to eight by putting Moon of Noxtella on your talisman inventory.
Get to Nokstellax, Eternal City, and reach the very top of the Gothic building by defeating electric blobs and passing through a rolling ball of metal. Open the chest at the end of the building, and you will have the Moon of Noxtella talisman. You can reach Nokstellax by completing Ranni the Witch’s questline using a teleporter at the top of Renna’s Rise.
Radagon’s Soreseal
Not to be mistaken, Radagon Scarseal does the same thing but with less increase of attributes compared to Soreseal. Radon Soreseal increases your Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity by five each but also increases damage taken.
Compared to the damage taken with an increase in vigor, the damage evens out by almost equalizing the same amount of damage without the talisman. What’s awesome is the plus five increase in all the physical attack-based abilities.
To get this talisman, get to Forth Froth behind the gigantic resting white dragon south of Dragonbarrow Cave in the Caelid region. This talisman can be tricky to find as it is located in a wooden walkway that can easily be missed.
Great-Jar’s Arsenal
Vastly raises maximum equipment load as stated in the item effect description. This talisman is the upgraded version of Arsenal, and you cannot equip both talismans at the same time. Great-Jar’s Arsenal talisman can be obtained from the Great Jar himself. You will meet him in the northern Caelid region but reach him; you need to travel from Siofra River Well.
After you pass through the Siofra river and get to the Caelid, there will be two giants with bows and arrows between you and the great jar. You can pass through them to talk to the Great Jar, and he will summon three signs of an NPC opponent for you to defeat. After defeating all the three NPC, you will receive the Great Jar’s Arsenal from Great Jar himself.
Ritual Sword Talisman
This talisman raises the attack power of the weapon you are welding when you are in full health. You can see the increase of all the Armaments in character status. This talisman can help greatly increase attack power when it comes to a boss that can one-hit KO you. It’s one of those times where you either fully heal and defeat the boss or die with one hit.
Go to Lex Ruins, located in the Altus Plateau region. Scout the ruins for the stairs that lead to the underground boss fight. Once you defeat the boss, you can open the chest that contains Ritual Sword Talisman.
Ancestral Spirit’s Horn
This is a great talisman for players who frequently use Focus Points(FP) either by using spells or ashes of war. You can generate that sweet blue bar by defeating low-level enemies and using them for stronger enemies. Having this talisman equipped will give you three FP per kill.
You need to reach Nokron, The Eternal City, which is unlocked after you defeat the boss General Radahn. Light all the six torches of stone pillars located around the Eternal City. Now head to the Hollowhorn Grounds and you will find a blue burning flame in the middle of the dead-end path.
Interacting with the blue flame will teleport you to the legendary boss fog. After defeating the boss, teleport to the round table to trade its remembrance for Ancestral Sprit’s Horn talisman.
Dagger Talisman
Having this talisman equipped will increase your critical hits. Basically, anything that registers as critical may be a long secondary attack, jump attack, or backstab. Every one of the critical hits will have increased damage that has a high chance of staggering the enemy. And the most fun part is that the Dagger Talisman also has an increase in damage in Visceral attack.
To get this talisman, you need to reach the Temple of Eiglay, which can be a bit tricky to get but not that hard. Start from the Volcano Manor from the room where there is a fake wall which is identified by a tilted red painting. And there is a corpse too chilling on the ground.
You need to walk through lava at some point to reach the staircase that leads to the Temple of Egley. Just keep your direction at the destination when traversing the map, and you will be greeted by the boss there.
After defeating the boss and a lot of platforming, you will come across a sealed door that can be unlocked using a stone key. After using the stone key, head down to the tricky platform, jump up the staircase, and you will find the Dagger Talisman.
Bull-Goat’s Talisman
If you are going for strength builds, this talisman is absolutely necessary as it increases your poise by thirty-three percent. You know how slow and heavy the strength weapons are, and sometimes while swinging, your enemy can break your poise, canceling your attack.
You can easily negate enemy light and medium attacks using Bull Goat’s Talisman. To get this talisman, enter the Dragonbarrow Cave located in the east of Camelid near the Erdtree location; get all the way down where you can find a corpse with Bull Goat’s Talisman.
Green Turtle Talisman
This talisman is mostly effective for dex-build players who like to smash their weapon so fast that they forget about the stamina meter depleting. Green Turtle Talisman raises your stamina regeneration by eighteen percent, making the fight a little better since the fighting, dodging, and blocking enemies’ attacks require a chunk of stamina.
To obtain the talisman, go to the summon water Village, where you can find a stone key locked door. Use the key and head to the underground room, where you have to open the door to get the chest containing Green Turtle Talisman.
Silver Scarab
If you are searching for specific items and killing enemies a number of times won’t do the work, then Silver Scrab is what you need because it significantly increases the item discovery. By enhancing item discovery, you can farm for rare items such as rune arch or other weapons and armor sets from enemies.
To obtain this item, You need to collect both pieces of Haligtree Secret Medallion. One is at the Village of the Albinaurics, whereas the other half is located on the Fort Haight rooftop after defeating Commander Niall.
Now head to the Grand Lift of Rold and hoist the secret medallion that will connect the entrance to Haligtree dungeon. Upon descending down the staircase, there is a small opening and an invisible ground below. Jump down and smack the invisible end of the room where the chest containing Silver Scarab will be waiting for you.
Silver Scarab will increase your item discovery to seventy-five points more. This is an insanely useful weapon when you go farming for rare items.
Dragon Crest Greatshield Talisman.
This legendary talisman enormously boosts physical damage negation and is extremely important, considering most, if not all, the enemies use some sort of physical attack to deal damage. The talisman increases all the physical damage negation up to twenty, which is more damage negation than a defensive chest piece.
Go to the drainage channel of the Haligtree and platform your way from the giant branch to the support beam. Climb your way up to the top of the roof of the building, and you will see a hole.
Jump down carefully, and on the right side, you will see a chest guarded by some enemies. Defeat the enemies and open the chest to get the legendary Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
Eritrea’s Favour +2
This is one of the great legendary talismans you can only obtain in the late game after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade in the Crumbling Farum Azula. Eritrea Favor +2 increases HP by four percent, stamina by eight percent, and equip load by ten percent.
Teleport to the Forbidden Lands and head to the Lyndell, Ashen Capital. Go through the capital outskirts and lift your way down the Ashen Capital. Upon exiting the lift, you will find a large area filled with ash.
There are three Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit and two more underground ready to attack you. You can find the talisman lying on the top of a branch.
How to Increase Talisman Slots?
We get only one talisman slot at the beginning of the game, and we can expand the slots up to four by obtaining a talisman pouch. Obtaining talisman pouches increases your talisman slots, and there are three talisman pouches we can get.
The first is from defeating Margit, The Fell Omen, the second requires you to get two great runes, and the third is obtained by defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord. Now that you have all the four Talisman slots, it’s time to fill them with the best talisman you can find in the Elden ring.
