Rennala the Queen of Full Moon is a boss character who later turns into a NPC after you defeat her. She can be found inside the Raya Lucaria Academy. She is a must-defeat boss in order to unlock the ability to rebirth your character.
To find Rennala, you need to enter Raya Lucaria Academy and navigate through it. You also have to fight a mini boss and a sworn Carian Knight, both of whom are protecting the path to Rennala. You can either follow the video guide or the steps below to get to her.
Find the Academy Glintstone Key
The main entrance is initially sealed with magic. You need to find the Academy Glintstone Key. This key is located on a small island on the west side of the Academy. It is guarded by a dragon. The key can be looted from a corpse of glintstone sorcerer behind the dragon without fighting it.
Unlock the Gate of Raya Lucaria Academy
Now that you have the key, head to the sealed gate in the south of academy. Interact with the gate and enter.
Take the Elevator Up and Head Straight
You will come across a room with an elevator. It is located just adjacent to the Site of Grace as soon as you enter the gate. Take this elevator and get to the main academy area.
Outside the elevator room you will be greeted on the screen with Academy of Raya Lucaria written. You just need to head straight towards the Church Building from there.
Find the Church of Cuckoo Site of Grace
You will come across a bunch of Glintstone sorcerers inside the Church building. Head to the doorway on the left inside this Church, there is a site of grace. You can replenish your flasks in this Site of Grace.
Take the Exit from the Church
Straight across the hallway from the Church of Cuckoo Site of Grace you will find a door way. This will take you to an outdoor area. Navigate slightly downhill, heading left from the doorway. At the end of the path, to the right you will come across a roped bridge.
Get Across the Bridge
Cross the wooden roped bridge and head right. You will be traveling through a graveyard looking area. Keep moving till you see a torch lit doorway.
Find the Crypt
The torch lit door way is the entrance to the crypt. Enter the building, and follow the passageway. It opens to a metal bar gateway.
Get on the Moving Platforms
Outside the gateway you will see moving platforms on your right. Take this platform and jump off when it reaches the land above.
Find the Way to Schoolhouse Classroom
Next, find the way to another Site of Grace called Schoolhouse Classroom. Straight from here you can fight the Site of Grace.
Fight Red Wolf of Radagon
Climb upstairs from the site of grace. Avoid or fight the sorcerers till you come across a fog gate. Transverse the gate and fight the wolf. You need to defeat this boss to progress further.
Take the New Exit
You find after defeating Red Wolf of Radagon. You will get to the outside area again. On the right, there are two flying buttresses that can act as a bridge. Take these to reach the staircase bridge.
Avoid the Rolling Pinball
Be careful climbing the stairs as there is an Indiana Jones style Metal Boulder that periodically rolls down this staircase bridge. Avoid it and enter the building.
Fight the Carian Knight, Moongrum
You will reach a courtyard where you meet the Carian Knight. Defeat him and loot his shield. This has a very good magic resistance, and can be used to fight Rennala.
Take the Elevator
Go Straight past where you fought the knight, and you will get to a room with an elevator. It will take you up.
Fight Rennala
The elevator takes you to the upper area of the academy. Open the huge doorway gate and you will be greeted with a cutscene with Rennala. You will fight her inside here.
Defeat Rennala
Once you defeat her, she will become an NPC. You can activate a site of Grace here to travel back and forth. Your character can also perform Rebirth here.

Lore of Rennala, Queen of Full Moon
The Rennala you meet is a sad figure holding an Amber encased unborn egg. She seems like a broken shadow of her past self. She became so after her beloved husband Radagon abandoned her and married Queen Marika.
It seems she still loves and awaits Radagon as she sits in a place overseen by his statue. She also lamentingly holds the Great Rune of the Unborn, a gift Radagon gave her. And the path leading to Rennala is also protected by a guard dog called Red Wolf of Radagon.
After the first phase of the bossfight with Rennala, Ranni, her daughter intervenes with her voice. When the second phase of the battle begins, Rennala for a moment changes from a broken lover to a ferocious and protective mother. At this point she shows her full power for us to behold.
She is still the queen of the Carian Empire and one of the most powerful magician in the Lands Between. In past, she led her armies in the war against Queen Marika’s powerful Golden Order. Rennala’s forces could not be defeated by the Order as the war ended in a stalemate. At this point, champion of the Golden Order, Radagon was wedded to Queen Rennala. This union forged a new alliance between the Carian Empire and the Order.
When you defeat Rennala, she asks Ranni to unleash her full potential by weaving Ranni’s night into being. She is a mother above all, as she is obsessed with re-birthing children. During the bossfight, she is surrounded by numerous of her children who are the product of imperfect rebirthing.
