Apex Legends is one of the biggest names in the battle-royale and multiplayer genre. The game has come a long way since its surprise release in 2019, with more features and content along with frequent new updates.
Unlike its competitors, PUBG and Fortnite, who mainly focus on gunplay, Apex Legends mostly focuses on team play and team combats to take down opponents. The gameplay features 60 players in a team of 3 or 2-player squads, fighting to be the last team remaining on the map.
Whether you’re playing a battle royale mode or a team deathmatch, you’ll be constantly searching for ways to outsmart your enemies and take that victory.
Apex Legends’ Gameplay
At the start of the match, you can choose your character from a variety of characters provided by the game.
These characters have their own special abilities, and you can choose any character, depending on your preference and play style. The character you pick will decide how your team wants to move forward.
You’ll be jumping from an aircraft, that is flying across the map, and once you’re on the ground, you should immediately start searching for weapons and resources and get ready for battle.
Because if the enemy squad also jumps near your area, they won’t hesitate to shoot you and get some easy kills.
Aside from the unique characters, the matches are the main attraction of this game. All matches are high-paced and full of action and explosions all over the map.
One moment you’re sweeping through the map on a zip-line, and the next moment you’re jumping and dodging bullets in an exciting 1v1 battle. It feels so good when your squad is coming along as a team and killing enemies in style.
Whatever the case, it is important to keep communicating with your teammates, as the death of a teammate can quickly turn into a team wipe.
So, it is always better to play with friends who understand how you play games. It is also easier to communicate with your friends than some random kids yelling at the microphone.
But what if you want to play with your friends, sitting next to each other, enjoying on a split-screen?
The new season, which released on May 10, brings many changes along with new exciting features.
Playing a new season with your friends in a couch co-op and discussing different strategies and new features can give you immense excitement. So, Is Apex Legends Split Screen ? Let’s find out!
Apex Legends is available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The mobile version of the game is also set to release in 2022.
Does Apex Legends Have a Split-Screen?
The answer is no. As of now, you cannot play the game with your friends or loved ones, sharing the same screen and sitting next to each other.
Like many other modern games out there, the developers of Apex Legends also seem to have dropped the split-screen feature. The graphics of the game is quite heavy, and it requires a lot of GPU power to run the game smoothly, even for a single screen.
It would require even more GPU if you want to render two instances of the game at once. So, while the idea of a split-screen seems good, it just isn’t feasible. At least, not in a current context.
Right now, Apex Legends only has an online multiplayer option, so if you want to have some co-op action with your friends, you’ll all need to be playing on a separate device.
