Forbidden Land is the only path to reach Consecrated Snowfield and Mountaintops of the Giants. You need to pass through the thick fog of the Forbidden Lands to get to the Rold Route which unlocks the snowy region of the game.
If you are trying to get to Forbidden Lands, you must have unlocked Altus Plateau and currently traversing Leyndell Royal Capital.
While exploring Leyndell capital, you might have encountered this giant golden barrier with a seal that is preventing you to get to the other side. The other side is the Forbidden lands and this article will guide you to break the barrier.
Make sure you are well prepared because you need to unseal the Morgott Barrier.
- Teleport to East Capital Rampart Site of Grace and head down the stairs to the entrance of Leyndell, Royal Capital.
- Make a left ignoring bunch of Oracle Envoy and go straight until you see a disabled enemy named Broken Statue.
- Jump down the lower platform and again to the Golden Roof on the west.
- Jump from rooftop to rooftop avoiding Gargoyle and jump down the street where you see a carriage.
- You will see a giant Erdtree Avatar falling from the sky. That is when you know you should take right through the small gate to reach a Site of Grace.
- Rest at the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. You will have to fast travel here once you defeat the two bosses, Godfrey and Margott.
- Now head downstairs where you will encounter archer with a longbow. Defeat him and climb up the huge dragon wing.
- Look for the opening with a ladder that will lead you to another side of the building.
- Reach the end of the hallway to ignite the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace.
- You will encounter a giant Gargoyle. Run past that and climb the massive branch that will lead you to the balcony. Inside, will be the boss Godfrey, First Elden Lord. - Defeating Godfrey will open the way that will lead you to Morgott. You can see an upper platform from the boss fight area. Go outside and climb the branch to reach the upper platform.
- After passing through all the dead finger maidens, you will reach the Queen’s Bedchamber, Rest at the Queen’s Bedchamber Site of Grace.
- Climb upstairs and you will find the Boss. Defeat Morgott, the Omen King, and Rest at Elden Throne Site of Grace where Malenia will give you Rold Medallion.
- Now fast travel to Avenue Balcony Site of Grace as mentioned earlier.
- Head right(Northeast) from the street.
- Open the big gate and climb the stairs ahead until you find the entrance with an elevator that will lead you up the bridge.
- Cross the bridge of Capital Outskirts where you will find another elevator leading you down.
- Exit outside the foggy building and you now have reached The Forbidden Lands. Don’t forget to activate the Forbidden Lands Site of Grace before continuing your journey.
