Fortnite is a worldwide phenomenon and an upgrade to the battle royale genre. The game also supports cross-platform play among various devices, and because of its convenience feature, Fortnite is loved by many gamers.
The game is available on every platform, including mobile phones. But, Fortnite is not available on Mac. Nevertheless, if you go a step further downloading and installing Microsoft Windows on your Apple computer, you can play Fortnite on Mac OS too.
Few of the most common ways to play Fortnite on Mac OS are,
Cloud Gaming
Cloud gaming is one of the easiest ways to play high-end games on a low-end computer because the game is not limited by its hardware capabilities. The game performance rather depends on a high-speed internet connection.
If you have high-speed Internet service up to 500MBps, I recommend you purchase gaming services. You can then play right away without any hassle, and it runs on most platforms.
Virtual Machine
With Virtual machines like VirtualBox installed, you can use two Operating Systems in one single device. I have a detailed guide to downloading and installing VirtualBox in my previous article. You can check that out if you want to run Fortnite on VirtualBox.
Parallels Desktop And Boot Camp Assistant.
These are the two virtual machines that run smoothly on macOS. While Boot Camp is already available on intel macs and won’t work on M1 Macs with ARM chips, We have Parallels Desktop working on both intel and M1 chip. The only catch is that Parallels is a premium app but you can try out the free version for fourteen days and if you like it, you can purchase it.
You can check out my latest article where I explain steps for downloading both Parallels Desktop and Boot Camp Assistant.
