You’d want to level up your Fortnite character to unlock every item on your Battle Pass, and here’s a trick—you can level up in player-created maps.
Leveling up in Fortnite is relatively easy, but you may be bored of the main Battle Royale Island. So, we’re browsing through other game modes that offer nice amounts of experience points in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
Zombieland
Island Code: 9369-6922-8408
Zombieland is one of the most popular player-created maps in Fortnite. And as you’d expect, you’ll fight zombies, and these monsters are quite strong. That means this is a player versus AI enemies experience, as there’s no PvP.
And as you play, you’ll easily collect XP and have fun without other players pressuring you. The typical rate is 500XP for each zombie you kill. Now regenerate health and shields on kill, and you respawn in seconds, so you can grind XP forever.
Lastly, the zombies drop gold on death. You can then use the gold to buy weapons in vending machines. You also “level up” after a certain number of skills, and each level unlocks new vending machines for higher-level weapons.
Tilted Zone Wars
Island Code: 3729-0643-9775
Tilted Zone Wars plays in the round. Each round happens on a new map, and the gimmick is that the storm circle is very small—and it keeps moving.
Additionally, you spawn right next to high-tier weapons, but also next to other enemies. So, the game is going to be pretty fast. Also, here’s a warning: players in this game mode won’t stop building their way up, so it won’t be fun for no-build players.
The way you gain XP here is by winning a round, which awards you 1,000XP. Additionally, you get 700XP for every 50 seconds you stay alive, and about the same amount of XP for every round you play.
Lastly, you get 4,000XP for each player you eliminate. If you land a headshot, that lands you 22,000 XP, not bad!
Fire Vs. Ice
Island Code: 8751-8232-1290v3
Fire Vs. Ice is a team death match. Each team has six players, and you fight in a pit after choosing the weapons and consumables from the lobby.
The way you earn XP is by killing other players, landing headshots, or killing the AI enemies at the edges of the map.
Moreover, there’s a vault on one side of the map. If you reach it, you can’t shoot or be shot at. Then, you can collect coins at the vault, which you can spend on vending machines for boosts.
Toy Box FFA
Island Code: 9061-5458-7889
Toy Box is another free-for-all match. It is fast and tough, but it’s a chance to get plenty of XP and showcase your building skills.
You start by choosing a loadout and then go to the fighting area. If you die, you are reborn instantly in the lobby, so you can repeat the process as many times as you want.
The way you gain XP is by eliminating players or by playing for over 40 minutes. You also get extra XP for landing headshots.
Lastly, I particularly like the layout of the map. It looks nice, it has plenty of space, and it’s designed like a children’s toybox.
The Pit—Free for All
Island Code: 4590-4493-7113
This puts you on a square map where you can equip yourself with weapons, consumables, and other items. After you choose your items, you jump to the pit below and put your shooting to the test.
The Pit itself is a small area. They’re going to be about 11 players shooting at each other and building at crazy fast rates. If you die, you respawn at the top, where you get the chance to freely swap your weapons.
You get XP per each player you kill, but the game is much faster than usual. It takes away the tactical approach you may have in favor of aiming, reactions, and building.
Valhalla
Island Code: 0399-0154-2182
Valhalla is an open-world adventure. You spawn on a medieval area, loot various weapons, and begin a linear adventure.
As you travel across towns and mountains, you’ll defeat monsters and earn XP. The XP is quite low (less than 100 per enemy), but it’s still there.
Lastly, the game mode has PvP areas, fast travel, special healing items, vending machines, and more.
Go Goated! Zone Wars
Island Code: 3305-1551-7747
The next mode is also a pit zone, where you get XP per round, per kill, and per headshot. The pit allows a few players per round, though, and each player starts on a base.
Then, you meet the enemies in a large green area, and the only buildings are the bases. Expect enemies to build stairs, walls, and floors like crazy. That’s because the storm is small and it moves fast.
Lastly, this game mode has multiple rounds, and winning each round nets you a greater amount of XP.
Bio’s Trio Arena
Island Code: 4059-2791-0712
As with other arena-type game modes, you start in a large arena where you choose your weapons and consumables. Then, you choose the team (3-player team) and go to the sandbox to fight. There’re five teams, and each one starts on a base.
You gain XP by eliminating enemies, and each match includes several rounds. You win more XP if your team wins the round, but you also win by surviving, healing, looting, and other actions.
Lastly, like on Go Goated!, the storm is small and it constantly moves. As a result, players will fight across the platforms they build. The difference is how other teammates can revive you when you fall.
SypherPK’s Pit
Island Code: 2545-5795-5996
SypherPK’s Pit is another popular free-for-all pit, and a good place to earn fast XP.
The place has nothing special or different from other maps of its kind. You choose your weapons, jump into a pit, and fight other players. Then, you respawn immediately after you die.
The game mode rewards XP for each kill, and it’s also a good place to improve your aim and test weapons not currently available on the Battle Royale.
707 Level Deathrun
Island Code: 8630-1873-5089
Deathrun maps combine parkour, puzzles, physical challenges, platforming challenges, and high traversal. The goal is to reach the end as fast as possible.
Deathruns are quite popular on Fortnite. Winning this particular match gives you 40,000XP, but there are going to be moving floors, booby traps, and other obstacles on the way.
Each race supports up to 12 players, but it doesn’t wait forever to fill the queue. You can race alone and still get the XP.
