With more than twenty-nine weapons that keep on increasing in number every season, Players might get overwhelmed by the number of guns and might not choose the right one that matches their play style.
Every gun in Call Of Duty Black ops Cold War is built to deal great damage, but choosing the right weapon early on will set the victory for later battle. Learning about gun mechanics such as fire rate, recoil, and bullet damage and applying them in war is the key to victory.
Best Guns in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War
Some guns allow greater firepower with less accuracy, while others allow great movements during combat. Playing with every gun while testing their class setup for maximum efficiency can be daunting. So to make things easier, I have assembled the list of best guns in COD war through research and gameplay, so you don’t have to.
Krig 6
It’s not the fastest killing machine but has versatility and ease of use. Krig 6 has less recoil compared to other assault rifles. You can also use Infantry Compensator for reduced vertical recoil. Combined with Underbarrel grips can give Krig 6 little to no recoil.
Use of different attachments such as Raider Stock for more sprint to fire time and aim walking movement speed. Players can choose between a Quick reload mag with less capacity or a fifty-round STANAG; It’s up to the user playstyle whether you play slow or go for a swift kill.
When it comes to handling, Airborne Elastic Wrap is your best friend providing ninety percent of flinch resistance and thirty percent aim down sight time.
MP5
MP5 is an all-rounder, the Jack of all trades, and you can attach loadouts for higher firepower and speed. It’s not overpowered, but it serves the purpose of SMP just right. For players who are into close combat and want to move pretty quickly while running and gunning down opponents, then MP5 is a pretty solid weapon of choice to go for the kills.
For the Barrel of MP5, we have a 9.5″ Reinforced Heavy barrel with eighteen percent effective damage range and eighty percent bullet velocity. MP5 guns have easy control of vertical recoil, so speed grip can be a viable option for a quick fire.
If you are in for a quick kill and do not prefer raining down bullets, then SFOD Speedgrip can be a preferable choice with three percent sprinting move speed and fourteen percent Horizontal recoil control.
Use Raider Stock for more movement during combat, and Airbone Plastic Wrap for maximum flinch resistance.
FARA 83
When it comes to long-range shooting, FARA 83 can deliver the best result if provided with the right loadout. FARA 83 can be a little underwhelming at first due to its high recoil, but once players get the hang of it, they can take down enemies from a long-range distance.
Let’s go for the best class setup but remember, attachments of every weapon are subjective to players’ gameplay style and can vary from one player to another. From optic and muzzle to stock, players can have different experiences according to their class setup.
There are several attachments for improved velocity and reduced flinch. You can convert Fara 83 into an ultimate weapon with the right attachment.
KSP 45
KSP 45 is one of the game’s most overpowered weapons, but taming this beast is no piece of cake. KSP 45 pays off your hardship if you take the time to get used to it and adapt to its custom.
This gun lacks convenience but makes it up to players for its higher firepower, drastically changing the gameplay. Veteran players can shred through combat with this burst-fire SMG.
Attaching an infantry compensator with a 10.5′ task force barrel ranks up the statistics of bullet velocity resulting in more firepower. For Underbarrel, using a grip that can reduce most vertical recoil serves to be great at handling.
FFAR
FFAR is viewed as the hybrid of SMG and AR with the highest fire rate compared to all the assault rifles in the game. FFAR can be customized for close combat and long or medium-range gun fights.
However, FFAR can be unreliable regarding recoil, so customizing this AR for maximum recoil control along with Field Agent Grip can make FFAR unstoppable. Use a barrel with a higher effect damage range to take down enemies.
FFAR can be a versatile weapon for all players if you can assemble the best attachment of your preference in the class setup.
AK-74u
AK-74u is the major sub-machine gun achieving a respectable rank of favorite weapons for many COD players since the game’s release. With proper loadouts, AK-74u can be built for easy to use and quick-fire rate that can pack some serious punch.
Including the proper attachment, we have a 10.3′ Liberator for Barrel, increasing the firing velocity by a hundred percent, Spetsnaz grip for increased vertical as well as horizontal grip, and for Handle and stock, you can balance speed to movement with fire accuracy.
A quick go-to gun that serves well in battle. Give it a little patience to learn to adapt, which can act as a quick-kill weapon for players.
ZRG 20mm
ZRG 20mm is the best sniper rifle based on the real-life Denel NTW-20. This weapon is considered the most powerful weapon compared to all the sniper rifles because it can shoot enemies to the head no matter how far.
Sound Moderator for suppressor is the ultimate choice for increased bullet velocity and sound suppression. For Barrel, 43.9″ Combat Recon barrel for improved bullet velocity.
You can go for a five or three-round magazine, but I would recommend a higher round for more focused gameplay. Having SWAT 5mw Laser Sight can drastically increase your ADS speed.
AK-47
One of the most iconic assault rifles in the history of first-person shooting games. AK-47 has also ranked one of the best guns in the COD cold war for its best movement speed while dealing high amounts of damage.
With AK-47, you can play aggressively as well as in medium-range strategic combat. The choice falls upon the attachment during class setup. But you can get the best of both worlds by balancing out the firepower with movement speed along with high recoil control.
Using the best Barrel with no downside, such as Ultralight, can result in great movement speed. Arranging with Handle and stock attachments that balance movement to sprint while firing bullets, making an aggressive weapon for close-range combat. A great choice for violent players.
RPD
A relativistic Punishment Device(RPD) is an LMG that deals some heavy damage and has a large round magazine to clear out enemies. With the right attachments, RPD can be built as an overpowered weapon with reduced recoil and precise fire rate.
To stay out of enemy radar, use a GRU suppressor and use a 20.3″ Task Force for the increased bullet damage. With Spetsnaz Grip attachment, you will have eight percent vertical recoil control and thirty percent horizontal recoil control.
This might reduce the movement speed but using Spetsnaz PKM stock will help in increased moving speed both shooting and walking while aiming.
LC10
It’s an extremely aggressive SMG that packs a power punch along with a quick fire rate, making LC10 a perfect weapon for close-range combat.
Agency Suppressor can be a great muzzle for stealth play and to attack opponents by suprise. It does increase the bullet velocity for a quick kill. Combining a 13.9″ Task Force barrel with Field Agent Grip stabilizes the recoil control with great bullet velocity and damage range.
Groza
Groza is a bullpup AR and a great weapon for aggressive players, but it also gives you the ability to take assault rifle ranges. For the Groza class setup, we have Gru Suppressor, Field Agent Grip, Clamp Mag, The third Handle that gives you 30% ADS and -10 Sprint to fire, and the last stock.
You can equip the Barrel that has bullet velocity and damage range with no penalties for the magazine if you don’t recall speed reloading for even more long-range kills.
TEC-9
Added in season five, TEC-9 is a semi-automatic submachine gun with greater precision and reduced recoil. With the release of season 5, the cold war has brought TEC-9 to the table for players to test out the usability of this weapon in close-quarter combat.
You can change its burst-auto mode to full auto by its full auto repeater muzzle attachment that allows an increase in accuracy and fire rate. With the right attachment, you can perform one burst kill in medium-range combat. Handle with care, and it will perform great during desperate times.
Vargo 52
Players can load out Vargo for larger maps because it’s the best weapon for mid to long-range engagements. With the new addition of the weapon blueprint on March 4th, 2022, updates, we have various attachments for Vargo for excellent performance and covering larger distances.
Adding an attachment to Vargo 52 makes a lot of difference in recoil control in range fire. For the right recoil, we have Spentsanaz Grip and compensator along with KGB Skeletal stock for mid-range combat.
With easy-to-control schematics compared to other assault rifles, Vargo is the best choice for players who like to move alot while firing at an opponent.
Stoner 63
Stoner63 is a go-to gun with its quick rapid fire rate, and for LMG, it’s very versatile to use in a round of the match. An overall above-average gun that can be set to build into an awesome killing machine.
21.8″ Task Force is perfect for Barrel. Although it has less ammo capacity, it has a hundred percent Effective Damage range and forty-one bullet velocity with added eight percent damage. For the body, using SOF Target designator for players to see more targets while aiming down the sight.
Field agents will give both vertical and vertical recoil control. For increased ADS speed, you can use Airbone Elastic Wrap and use the stock that is the best movement speed, such as Raider Pad, that not only increases aim walking movement speed by forty percent but also has a 30 percent sprint to fire time.
