As CS:GO is a game played and won with cooperative teams, good strategy, and great artillery control. Successful grenades can be game changers and could decide the fate of a match.
Including tactical play, we also need to know area maps and the best place to blow up enemies and spread fire or smoke in the right spot. This article will help you locate the best grenade spots on Dust 2.
Knowing the spots and techniques beforehand, you can throw grenades from a safe distance and secure those kills.
Smoke, HE Grenades, Molotov, Flashbangs, and Decoy
These are all the Explosive we can use during the match. Flashbangs blind enemies for a while, allowing players to pass through certain map areas, while Molotov and smoke grenades can block enemy paths. Nevertheless, every Grenade has its use, and executing them properly on the field can determine the team’s victory.
But before you jump into the real match, I recommend you practice using all these grenades and master the art of throwing them in the right spot.
Enable Developer Console
By enabling Developer Console, you can use cheats to despawn bots, view the direction of your throw, and get an infinite amount of grenades so you can practice on the Dust 2 map.
Here’s how you can enable practice mode on CS GO.
- Go to game settings
- Click on the game under the Game Settings
- The Enable Developer Console(~) option is inside the game menu. Change the setting from No to Yes, and now you can access the developer option.
- Press the Tilde(~) symbol below the escape button to open the console window.
Now you can use different commands for unlimited access to grenades. You can also enable trajectory to track your grenade direction and landing spots. Below are the commands you can use to enable cheats during the game.
Map de_dust2: Lets you enter the game on the Dust 2 map.sv_cheats 1: Enables cheats. Cheats won’t be activated unless you enable the sv_cheat 1.bot_kick: This will remove all the bots making an empty Dust 2 map for practice.Mp_roundtime_defuse 60: You can practice up to sixty minutes instead of thirty.give weapon_smokegrenade: Provide you with one smoke grenade.give weapon_hegrenade: Provide you with one High Explosive Grenade.give weapon_flashbang: Provide you with one Flashbang.give weapon_molotov: Provide you with one Molotov.sv_grenade _trajectory 1: Allows you to view the path made by grenades when thrown.
Best Grenade Spots On Dust 2
Now you know how to enable cheats for practice, let’s get back to the real meat of the Content ie The Best Grenade Spots Dust 2.
There are many ways to throw a grenade, but players won’t know where it landed and how effective it is against enemies. So guiding your Grenade is essential both to infiltrate and take enemies down.
I will guide you to throw grenades, learn about different uses of each Grenade, and know the effective spots for each throwable.
Molotov for Back platform B side
If you are pushing the B side from CT Mid, then you can fire on the back platform before entering the B doors or window.
This will clear the doubt about the opponent camper lurking in the corner.
You can perform this throw by standing on top of B boxes and placing your crosshair on the metal corner of the right window. Fire your Molotov and jump-throw toward the direction, and the Molotov will blaze across the back platform of B side.
Molotov Short A from A Ramp
You can fire the entire Short A and block the opponent’s path from entering the A side. To throw a Molotov, you need to stand in the corner between the box and A Ramp. Aim at the middle of the red building rooftop, move a little back and just throw. The Molotov will deflect the wall and land on the floor of Short A.
With enough practice, you can throw Molotov to cause fire to spread on the stairs as well as the stair corner.
Molotov A Side to Cat
It’s a bit tricky and takes practice, but it is very effective against opponents hiding in the corner trying to ambush you.
Stand just in the left corner of the blue wheat sack and aim at the spot in the corner of the white building. Keep your aim at the spot and run and throw your Molotov when you are near the stone fence. Your Molotov will deflect on the shutter and spread the path on the Cat area.
Molotov A side Car with long doors
If you want to fire at the Car side of Long A without getting shot by the campers from A side, then you can throw Molotov from the Blue location all the way up to the Car.
Stand on top of the blue barrel and place your crosshair on the door handle located in the right part of the door. After placing your position, light the Molotov and jump throw. The Molotov will fire in the corner of the blue Car side where players usually hide for cover.
Molotov Xbox from Mid-city.
If you are playing CT and you want to fire Xbox safely from the other side of Mid Cubby, then you can throw a Molotov on the white wall on the other side of Mid doors. Place yourself on Mid Cubby and aim at the extruding part of the white wall. Light up the Molotov and throw it on the wall will bounce and spread fire on the top of the Xbox.
You can do the same if you are playing Terrorist and want to burn the Cubby side of CTmid.
Molotov A side to Quad
If you are rushing from Long A, then this throw can help you eliminate enemies hiding behind the boxes in the Quad area of A bombing side.
Stand at the right corner of the shutter with a tea poster and aim at the metal door near Cross. Put your crosshair between the extruding stone angle and the metal box beside the iron door, and jump through the Molotov. The Molotov will fall directly on the Quad area of the A-side, burning the opponent hiding behind.
Flash Cat area from A side Quad
You can flash enemies from a safe distance of the Quad area so that your team can finish off enemies going from short A.
Stand at the right corner of the jute basket and aim between the white and red building. Align your crosshair at the horizontal wire and simply throw a flash. The grenade will flash to everyone trying to ambush CT players, even the one standing on top of Xbox.
Flash Outside Blue and A corner from Long
Flashing Blue area can help your team to push at A corner or peak from the long door at enemies.
Simply stand in the back left side of the yellow Car and aim at the middle of the door. Place your crosshair between the bar holding the arch of the door and throw a flash. If thrown correctly, the Grenade will travel through the open side of the door to the blue side area. Now your team can easily peek through the long doors.
Flash B side From Upper tunnel
This maneuver will almost flash everyone on the B side if they are not aware of the flash grenade. Your team can wipe out enemies if you can implement the throw and rush at the B side.
While pushing the B side, ensure there is no Molotov or smoke thrown in the narrow tunnel opening. Then you can aim at the left of the other side of the arch opening and run through the flash.
Flash CT Spawn to CT Mid
If you are hiding in CT Spawn and hear enemies’ footsteps from CT Mid, then you can use this Flash trick. You can also use this flash if they smoke the opening of CT mid.
While at the left corner box, aim at the wooden pillar and slightly run throw. The flash will bounce back to the CT Mid flashing enemies, and you can now take out enemies in the CT Mid area.
HE Grenade Stairs From CT Spawn.
Sometimes, you can see enemies peeking from short A. If you know enemies are pushing from Cat, then you can use a grenade from CT spawn.
Stand at the small stairs at CT Ramp and run throw a grenade on the wall above the stacked wooden box. First, place your crosshair on the tree’s leaves and run through the exact spot marked in the image above. This takes practice but is very effective against players pushing CT from the Cat side.
HE Grenade Quad To Cat
If you know enemies are pushing from the cat area, you can use this throw to fend off or eliminate them with HE Grenade. When you are in Quad, pull up your Grenade and slightly move forward by tapping the W key and left click to throw into the Cat side.
HE Grenade CT Mid to B Bombsite.
The Grenade is very helpful in taking out the B Bombsite enemy from CT Mid. When you hear Terrorist Player planting the bomb, you can simply use this trick to take them down.
Stand between the scaffolding and B side window while aiming at the edge of the door. Now run, throw your Grenade, and it will deflect towards the B Bombsite and explode.
HE Grenade CT Mid to Back Platform
You can clear out enemies lurking on the B platform or Back platform from CT Mid. By standing on top of B boxes and placing your crosshair on the right window’s metal corner, jump toward the direction, and the Grenade will explode across the B platform.
HE Grenade B Window to Back Platform
When you are pretty sure of the enemy camping at Back Platform and want to take them out, this throw will kill your opponent instantly. From CT Mid, Stand close to the scaffolding and aim between the pyramid-shaped thing on the roof and the dot. Throw the Grenade and it will land near the enemy and explode in the face of the opponent.
HE Grenade B side to Upper Tunnels
This is very effective against enemies trying to enter the B side. If you are singled out against a bunch of enemies trying to push from Upper tunnels, then you can clear them out by this grenade throw.
Place yourself beside the big box and perform a run-throw grenade to deflect the red sign in the tunnel area and explode inside the Upper tunnels.
There are numerous tricks to land the perfect grenade throw and grenade spot on dust 2. All of the above spots are the sure shot tricks you can perform during a match, but practice often before entering the match.
