Support Barbara Build
Barbara is best played as healing support at every party. Her kit allows her to heal all her party members for a massive amount of HP throughout the battle. Here are the best weapons and artifacts that increase her efficiency even more.
Weapon
Everlasting Moonglow
Everlasting Moonglow is a five-star Catalyst weapon that increases the max HP of the user and also gives an additional Healing bonus. At max level, it increases the HP of the wearer by 49% and also gives you a Healing bonus of 20%. As Barbara’s healing abilities scale with her HP pool, it increases her healing capabilities by a lot.
This makes her a very important member of your party as she is constantly healing all your characters for a high amount of HP.
Prototype Amber
This is a four-star weapon that can only be obtained through forging. It helps to boost the amount of healing Barbara is providing for her team. At the max level, it increases the HP of the wearer by 41%. Since Barbara’s skill heals her allies by a percentage of her HP, it amplifies her healing by a lot.
It also gives you Energy Recharge when you use an Elemental burst. This helps you to keep spamming your abilities throughout the battle. During the duration of Energy Recharge, all your party members will get an HP regeneration of 6% every 2 seconds.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
It is a three-star weapon that can be obtained pretty easily, even within the early stages of the game. This weapon is the best if you want to use Barbara as a healing support unit. At the max level, it increases your HP by 35%. And since she has percentage-based healing, which scales along with her HP pool, she can provide a lot of healing throughout the battle.
It also increases the attack damage of the new character by 48% when you switch characters. This weapon allows her to support her team even when she is off-field.
Artifacts
4-Piece Ocean-Hued Clam
It is the best artifact if you’re going for the support Barbara build. It increases the amount of healing she provides along with an AoE damage at the end of the effect. When equipping the 4-piece Ocean-Hued Clam, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear on the battlefield every 3.5 seconds.
This Foam will accumulate all the HP you’ve provided for the party, and after 3 seconds, it explodes, dealing 90% damage of the healing.
This makes use of her healing abilities to deal a high amount of damage in battle. It also comes with a healing bonus of 15% due to the effect of its 2-piece set. It allows her to contribute in battle even when she is not actively fighting.
4-Piece Maiden Beloved
It also increases your healing abilities in battle. When she is equipped with a 4-piece Maiden Beloved, all her party members will get a buff of increased HP regeneration by 20% whenever she uses her Elemental skill or burst.
This effect lasts for 10 seconds and can make a great difference when fighting tough opponents, as you can switch characters when they are low and let them heal for the duration. It also increases your healing effectiveness by 15% due to the effect of its 2-piece set.
2-Piece Maiden Beloved and 2-Piece Tenacity of the Millelith
It is the best item if you’re going for a full-heal Barbara build. The 2-piece Tenacity of the Millelith increases the wearer’s HP by 20%. And since Barbara heals her allies by a percentage of her HP, she can provide a lot of healing throughout the battle.
The 2-piece Maiden Beloved also increases your healing effectiveness by 15%. When paired with the right weapon, she can heal her whole team without letting any one of them die in battle.
Talent Priorities
When you’re building Barbara as a healing support for your party, you’ll first need to max out her Elemental Burst. As her Elemental Burst heals her teammates for a percentage of her HP, it provides the best value among all her other talents. This ability also scales very well with levels that increase her healing efficiency in battles.
Next, you’ll want to max out your Elemental skill and leave out the normal attack for the last.
Main DPS Barbara Build
Barbara can act as the Main DPS unit for your party, but only when certain conditions are met. Most of the time, she performs exceptionally well as a healer, but if you want to try some new experiments, you can go this route as well.
To build her as the Main DPS of your party, you can pair her with these weapons and artifacts.
Weapon
Skyward Atlas
Skyward Atlas is the best weapon for Barbara if you want to use her as the main DPS unit of your party. At max level, it increases her outgoing damage by 33% and Elemental damage by 24%. The attack bonus damage is a good buff but what really makes this item the best for her is its Elemental damage amplification.
When paired with the right party members, Barbara can dish out insane amounts of damage with this weapon. Since Barbara is a Hydro character, she can use her Elemental skills to deal more damage to enemies who are affected by Dendro and Cryo Elementals.
As this weapon increases her attack as well as Elemental damage, she can take advantage of that to deal massive damage.
But you’ll need to have the right team composition to take advantage of this. First, you’ll need to have a Dendro character to trigger the Dendro core; then, you’ll need to pair it with either Electro or Pyro to trigger Hyperbloom and Burgeon reactions. This makes her a truly potent DPS unit in battles.
Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
This weapon helps Barbara to be able to deal massive physical damage. At max level, it has 608 base damage and also increases your Crit rate by 33%. By combining with her own base attack damage, she can output massive damage in battles. It also gives Elemental damage buffs, which means she can increase her DPS to even greater lengths.
At max level, it increases her movement speed by 10% and the Elemental damage bonus by 16%. This, again, when combined with the right Elements, can do a lot of damage in fights. The goal is to have Dendro and Electro or Pyro characters in your party to trigger Hyperbloom and Burgeon reactions.
Artifacts
4-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
This is probably the best artifact if you’re using Barbara as your main DPS. The 4-piece set increases your damage output of normal or charged attacks by 50% for 10 seconds. When this effect is activated, she can do massive damage within the duration.
When paired with the right weapon and characters, she can pop off, even more, making her one of the most damage-dealing four-star characters. And the bonus attack damage of 18% that comes with the 2-piece set complements this build as well.
4-Piece Heart of Depth
It also increases her DPS in battles and helps her to become the carry that your party needs. The 4-piece Heart of Depth increases her damage on Normal and Charged attacks by 30% whenever she uses her Elemental skill. This effect lasts for 15s, and if you have a weapon that gives Crit Rate, she can dish out massive damage within that time.
It also gives you a 15% increase in Hydro Damage due to the effect of its 2-piece set, which is a great addition to her DPS.
4-Piece Wanderer’s Troupe
The 4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe increases the damage of charged attacks by 35% if the user is Catalyst. As Barbara is a Catalyst character, she gets a huge boost in damage when she is equipped with this artifact.
The 2-piece set also increases her Elemental Mastery by 80 so she can dish out huge damage with her Elemental skill and burst. This helps her become the main DPS unit in her team when paired with the right characters and weapons.
Talent Priorities
If you want to use Barbara as the main DPS in your party, you’ll always need to prioritize maxing her normal attacks first. Since her attack damage scales very well with levels, she can do a lot of damage with her normal attacks alone.
After that, you’ll want to punt more points in her Elemental skill and finally max out her Elemental burst at last.
